Do you backlink to your blog or blog post?

I'm trying to move away from backlinking to my blog to target specifically to each blog post.
It's still too early to see any result yet. I guess the PR of each blog post is more important than the PR of the blog in term of SERP.
how do you backlink? Do you backlink to the website/blog or to each webpage/blog post?

As above ^ I build backlinks to my homepage and deeplink to my popular category pages - with a decent sitemap and site structure the linkjuice gets passed to the posts :)

Well it depends on what you want to rank. Each page or post will take a different amount of inbound links to dominate the rankings for a specific topic or key phrase. So it might be better to rank highly for a few posts than on page 2 and beyond for many, traffic wise.

Same as above but I would also write a hub and or a lens for each post. This always gives me an extra boost.

It depends. But if someone need specific information I link to category where he can easily see the answer to his question.

It's good to back links the subpages than the main or home page itself.
