I have had this question brewing in my head for a while

When browsing the internet do you avoid clicking other peoples affiliate links?

would you prefer to type in the url or dont you really care if the site owner gets a sale?

It doesn't really bother me...it doesn't cost me anymore to buy the product. I know that there are people that will avoid affiliate links, so I usually hide my ugly affiliate link url in a redirect so the user will not see the url until they are already on the site.

Ya I don't mind using them. I fill if I am going to promote a program why not give that person a little extra money in their pocket...

    I dont really care.

Better, I will prefer going thru one so the affiliate gets something on the sale.

I never click ones. I hover over it, see the url, and type it in.

If it's something that looks interesting I almost always copy the url and paste it into a new windo without the ref. Other times referrers get greedy and try to hide their links by using a redirect such as mysite.com/recommends/refprogram.php those annoy me even more and for those I just pop the program name into google to get the real link.

If it's useful, I don't see what's wrong with signing up under/buying a product through an affiliate link.

Obviously you get those tools that spam 'clck this site i earn 1000000000 yesterday' which I avoid like the plague...

I do a bit of both, sometimes I type the link myself and other times I click the links.

However, I usually don't join affiliate programs with someones affiliate link (so that the referrer gets % of what I earn) unless I get something back - I think its fair that I get something back from the referrer in such a situation - like tutoring or help in other ways.

I click on them, I give the credit to the person who directed me to the site I was looking for. It's only fair right and it doesn't cost me anymore from purchasing from an affiliate or the original.

I usually avoid them - however, it's important to know that we are a select group of people who are familiar with this type of thing. For example, I always check my FF link bar to see where the link directs me to.

However, I'm sure that a high number of browsers who are not into making money from the internet and are not familiar with this sort of affiliate thing will just ignore it; and these are the people targetted in most cases.

At least I think I'm right.

Years ago it bothered me, but I can't tell you exactly why. Now, I have no problem clicking those links. I figure if the site/email I click from is a good site and if I end up signing up or buying something, someone has to earn that money. Why not the person who introduced me?

That is exactly how i feel

I use to avoid clicking them but now that I promote affiliate programs I always click them or find a friend who might be promoting that affiliate program and give him/her the sale.

The reason I asked this question is because I am thinking of ways to hide my affiliate links but im not sure if this will put more advanced users off giving me the sale. I know my site is pretty good :p but I myself find it annoying when other people try to hide them.

If you where browsing pokerdepositoptions.com, would you avoid clicking the links?

    Honestly???
