I am not a liberal and I understand and agree with that most of the time, but letting the banks go under would not have been a wise move.

I'm not against the government helping out. But when you have the Obama administration more interested in fixing his friends then the country then you have to wonder if he even cares about the people.

What we are doing is building on a shaky surface. Let the banks and other companies that were part of the faulty foundation go down and build up anew. That is the only way to permanently fix this problem. Unless of course, you like Obama's socialistic ideas.

Obama is not a socialist, I dont think you understand who broken your economy would be if you let the banks fall.

I would rather have Obama running my country than the Muppet Gordon Brown we have at the moment.

Let me tell you three ways to kill any economy.

    Raise Taxes
    National Healthcare
    Wild Spending

And guess who has either done all those or is trying to do them within his first 100 days? Believe it or not I would much rather have Gordon Brown then Obama. Any day.

I'm not saying he is not liberal. All I am saying is that he is a moderate. As much as I dislike Hillary Clinton and her husband I wuld muc rather them in power then Obama. Obama is extreme left.

I guess I can thank Rush and Sean for electing Obama.

Obama is not extreme left, if you want examples of extreme left look at the British labour party in the 1970's. I would say that Obama is more right wing than Brown.

The stock market appears to be recovering and I'm making a killing on some of these big name companies that are historically low levels. In particular C & GM. The best moment to get in is past, but there's still a long way to go up.

    What is your political persuasion?

Tell me what stocks I should get into and how much I should invest?

worldman - I'm in GM & Citigroup right now. That may seem counter intuitive but I think the key is looking for stocks that are heavily devalued because of the Bush Recession and to get into them at low levels and them ride them back up to their previous levels during the Obama Recovery.

I got into GM at $1.90 and Citigroup at $1.62 so you can't get the same deal I got right now (although there's a chance they'll go back down again before they go back up.) But I still think they are a steal at their current prices.

I can't give that kind of suggestion... I'd feel like Jim Cramer ;)

The rule of thumb is don't put money into risky stock trades that you can't live without.

No problem. I was just wondering cause I do have some cash that I am not using right now and would just stick it in the bank but I'm thinking of investing it into some company.

worldman - I think if you can handle the possibility of your money possibly getting wiped out (if the company goes bankrupt) then there are definitely some good opportunities out there with some stocks that are well below their peak levels. Check this out for a list of possibilities.

Yea cause killing hundreds of thousands of our own countrymen unnecessarily in order to "preserve the Union" and undermine the same document (Constitution) that made the Union, is respectable.

The stock market is in a bear market rally right now. Keep your money in the bank.

You left out that hes just damn sexy. Hey, on the Turkey subject, i thought Turkey was a secular nation (from the other thread). Why would they need to be talked out of having a hard stance on freedom of the press regarding images of the Prophet Mohammed (Whom I've slept with)?

Contrary to popular opinion Obama did not ban waterboarding. Its still an option if he gives an executive order to use it.
That negotiation backfired on him and neither country agrees.

As to the rest of your other reasons, those are not major. Give me some major bills that he passed that makes him better then Bush.
