Hey, I am wondering if it's safe to allow a programmer, who I don't know, into my WP dashboard? Or are their any alternatives? What do you guys do when you need programmer or designer to do some work in your Wordpress Blogs? I have a blog and I bought some pretty expensive new designs for and they aren't working properly. One of their programmers wants my WP login after I sent a message to them about what wasn't working. I am a little hesitant to just pass out a password even if it's a temporary one to a stranger, especially since this is a pretty established blog. Is this my only choice, to allow them into my WP dashboard? or what's the safest way to go about doing this? Thanks to anyone who can help me out. I asked a similar question to these in the blogging category but no one responded.
I would suggest you take a look around on other forums and do some searches on Google before I gave them the login info, also backup you entire blog/site as a whole to your own computer also in-case they do something Malicious.
