but yeah, I agree: why should it matter to straight people? I guess you can bring on the "morals" and ethics.. I won't get there though.

 

I dont think you should be punished by anyone for being homosexual but I also dont agree with civil unions.

 

I don't believe that it is the governments job to approve or disapprove or marriages -- either heterosexual or homosexual.

That is not a job which the government should be doing.

 

Then who is it the job of?

 

Private relationships should be the business of the people involved and, optionally, their God(s).

Do you file a bunch of forms and pay the government a fee every time you make a new friend?

Do you file a bunch of forms and pay the government a fee every time you have sex with someone?

Do you file a bunch of forms and pay the government a fee every time you make a contract with someone?

If not, then why should you file a bunch of forms and pay the government a fee every time you get married?

As far as I am concerned, the government needs to learn to mind it's own business and stay out of the private lives of the citizenry.

 

I don't support it............but it should be a state issue here in the U.S. The Federal government does not have the power to decide whether or not it should be lawful........10th Amendment of U.S Constitution.

 

I agree, however, I have filed no forms under this system - ever.
