I was wondering what everyone thought on this. Better to relate to the customer and tell them how you suffered from the same problem in a landing page, or should we stick to a straight ahead pitch of the product's strengths?
I'll be the first to say you shouldn't take my advice, but I think it depends on the product. If you're promoting something that the buyer feels is outside the main stream, like "stop your constant sweating" and other oddities, then the prospect might be lead more easily if you voice your article as something that understands and identifies with him instead of being another list of cold statistics. I think you have to go with the tried and true infomercial model. 1. Tired of problem XYZ? 2. Introducing the (new/popular/discounted) solution 123 for problem XYZ 3. Features and benefits of soution 123 4. Proof of why solution 123 works 5. The offer if you order now 6. Order instructions That is how most of the Clickbank sites and infomercials are built because that is what works best. Good luck!
