I accept both. Don't see why so many people don't allow gambling sites - although it has to be said I submit gambling related sites to those that say they don't in the application blurb and they get accepted anyway. Although they're usually sites that happen to have a gambling page or three rather than outright sins of satan. Suppose it has a lot to do with coming from Britain where there's a betting shop on every high street, though there's certainly not an endemic problem with gambling. Of course, the directory owners page is his/hers castle to do what they see fit but it smacks of intolerance to me to demonise something perfectly normal to many nations because of religion or whatever, when they have a worldwide directory. I certainly wouldn't ban religious sites, for example, on the grounds religion has been and continues to be the cause of hundreds of millions of deaths and immense human suffering with war, HIV, famine etc. Surely as directories need to have huge PR to stand any chance in the future and with that the lucky few slim down the only way to be a huge hit globally will be to have editors - or the owners edit each page, certainly in regional sections, by the law of that land rather than sanitise and therefore demonise a nation. Bad example probably but take absinthe, banned by many nations but some nations do allow it's sale so allow related websites in regional pages but not outside that.
I've changed my policies from today, canceled some subscriptions and no, no gambling and specially no drugs/pharmacy related sites.
It's not always about moral values, but economical ones. PayPal will boot you if you use it to accept paid gambling links. Many ad programmes forbid you to put links on pages that deal in particular subjects, especially adult ones. On the other hand, there's also the question of reviewing sites. A lot of directory editors just don't care to review sites on topics they find distasteful. Rather than allow people to submit to these categories, and leave the review queue to grow and grow, it's best to state outright that the directory won't list that sort of link.
Till now only gambling sites. All submissions are paid in my directory. Gambling sites paid me. Pharmacy guys tried to spam me
