Ermm...I want to ask something. Why most don't accept pharmacy links? What's up with them that most people reject all of them?
Because most of them are from spammy sites promoting drugs to boost your sexual performance. I can't really give a straight answer yes/no answer to this question, as far as pharma links go. In theory I would accept them, if one was submitted that was good quality. But I have never, ever had a pharma site submitted that passed muster.
Well for starters not accepting gambling links has always been my directories policy. I simply don't allow them and never have. I don't feel they are particularly useful to anyone except affiliates and gambling site owners. The owners can take peoples money from someone elses directory.. Pharmacy links.. I used to accept a few as long as they weren't passing illegal substances, but I had to close that section to further submissions because of it's popularity with affiliates. They all seem to offer the same stuff, and the sites all look remarkably the same. This is just me though.
It's good that you want to know. Most pharmacy links are inter connected. They are spammy links in nature but a lot of them have high PR pages. I did accept a couple of sites when I started my directory but same with Rod I do not anymore. Would you like some Enhancement Sites in your Directory ? Of course not. Don't know about others. That is my opinion. In relation to gambling no I don't accept it. I review sites individually including inner pages and when I see some affiliates I just delete them. End of story.
Some gambling sites are worth a look if they are not 100% affiliate related. Same goes for Pharma. If Pfizer was submitted, I am sure directories will accept it without question. In the end it all comes down to the site being submitted as a good site or not before it is accepted.
We've accepted Pharmaceutical manufacturers information sites for companies such as Ortho-McNeil, Wyeth and Roche. We do not accept affiliate pharmacy sales, sexual performance or enhancment products.
I don't mind gambling and pharmacy sites. Only thing I avoid is porn. I don't care to review that stuff, and I certainly wouldn't ask an editor to review it. Also, I think all of us (I hope) would avoid crazy stuff like racist sites or hacking/warez and other similar things that are almost universally considered immoral/illegal. But it is YOUR directory. You get to decide what you list and what you don't list.
