    Hi guys,

Just something that i always wondered about. If someone submits a site that looks good with a very little content and you know that it is made for Ads (especially Adsnese), do you accept or approve it in your directory?

Yes i accept it because you may be in the developing stage and you may be developing the content so we have to accept it

a website with 10 pages of content can be accepted

No, and nothing that sells something that enlarges any part of your body LOLOLOL
I already had to refuse some featured listings of this type of sites, it’s hard but is the only way you can keep directory integrity on the long run.

This is a good question and freewebspace has a valid point

Developing stage is the operative word here, that is due consideration & evaluation

We check all submissions and blatant MFA with obvious content that indicates they are just setting up an ads only site will not be accepted

    http://www.forplex.com/guidelines.php

» Do not submit web sites with excessive advertisements/pop-ups, or any web sites created for advertisement purpose. You will be rejected!

    Hello..

Well that is a good question, but i MUST refuse your site if its got to much adsence and any link i touch takes me to the only option of clicking your adsence to get more info, in other words you had best have a dam good looking page with alot of wording to get threw. It doesnt matter that you are still devoloping your site, finish it then come see me......

Ps... get the catagory right and dont try going after the top catagories in any of my directories as those are paid and for featuerd sites only. There is no need i will make a catagory for you if i dont already have it.

    thank you

I tend to be pretty strict with MFA-type and affiliate sites. Unless you have some nice, original content (not just some articles you ripped from Article Emporium) to go along with those ads, you are getting rejected everytime.

No. The most common reason for sites being rejected at bigtangle.com is they have too many ads or are designed to trick people into clicking on ads.
(Second most common reason is sites that are constructed from half a dozen free articles; third is the words 'debt consolidation' etc appearing too many times on the page).

I am also wary of sites that have no ads and large blank spaces - I suspect a lot of sites are submitted with the intention of adding ads on later. We do check and we do delete them, but its a major hassle.

    Nice points all of you.

What is the problem if they have content?

To see sites, blogs and the so-called directories that use only scraped content submitted is a joy.
Cause then I get to delete them without any remorse whatsoever.

Speaking of blogs, I am getting overrun with blogs that are no more than news feeds.
No original content, no nothing but feeds!

Or they have nothing but the first paragraph of articles scraped elsewhere.

For a long time I would not accept MFA sites. Lately, I started to really look at them for content. The ones I find appealing and not spammy will get a second thought. I get a lot of MFA submissions, and because of that, I added a new category to my directory. You guessed it! "MFA".

That category made the SERPS in less than 3 days.. LOL!!! Maybe there is some benefit to a directory that accepts MFA? I'm not sure yet.. :D All I do know is that some MFA sites are quite good, while others are nothing but trash.

May do that to one or two of my directories to see what transpires.
What category or sub-category heading do you use for the MFA's?

Most of the bad ones have a .info.

    Hey Dawg!

Here's local on my directories section. I've been adding subs as I receive interesting sites, health seems to be a favorite though.

I normally don't accept them. I only accept very high quality sites that aren't focused on ads, mainly commercial sites that look really good. If the site has a poor design, it will be declined. I have a pretty strict policy on it.
