Do Yahoo Group Posting Helps

I wonder if posting in yahoo groups do have any effect in optimizing my keyword targets or is it just for backlink points??

 

If you want to enhance your website traffic then you must start doing off page optimization. Try to submit your blog feed in different search engines, blog directory, blog ping portal.
If you want to know more about Blog traffic, read blog by matt cutt or googlegenie blog.

You can get Good traffics from yahoo groups but not Back links.

because Y Groups are using No follow attributes so you wont get back links but you can try to get good traffics.

Together with Yahoo group you can use yahoo buzz where you can use your keywords for tagging.

Yes, I agree with Eric. Due to nofollow on Yahoo Groups, you don't get backlink but you will get traffic. But if you are targeting for good traffic and backlinks then i suggest you, comments on blog and forum.
