I was just thinking that posting in yahoo answers really get you sales or not? Whats your experience?
Yes they do. But there are thousands of people doing it, if you do it the same way as others you probably won't make a dime. If you're doing it smart you can make some decent sales. 1. Pick the right niches and products to promote. They should have many people asking questions on answers sites and good converts 2. Be sure you know a lot about the niche 3. Make top quality answers, actually try to answer the question and help, be geniune 4. don't use hop links! Get a domain and set up a redirect from that domain to your aff url 5. find questions/threads that rank well in google and try to post an answer there
I tried once upon a time not too long ago. I posted a redirect domain as my reference (which redirects to my affiliate link) Then after posting some 20 answers, I first got praise from Yahoo because my answer was chosen the best answer. Then after few days, all my answers were deleted just like that! That is it. But I can see many people posting their answers with their affiliate links. The best thing in Yahoo answers is that it ranks high in Google which can make you sales. But it is tough to move there as the community is sensitive and your post can be deleted any time. This is my experience.
Reading your post, I feel like I'm reading about myself.. LOL.. I was posting in the weightloss niche and sending them to my blog that had relevant content to my answer. They suspended my account and deleted all my answers...
i've only had one answer get actually deleted ... but i have like 9 "Best answers" so far .. unfortuanly i still have no sales
How did you people post a link on it? It doesn't work anymore. Yahoo is very strict about posting links not related to Yahoo/Flickr/any Yahoo owned domain. It will get deleted nearly immediately.
Yes it works. Recently I have chosen a niche and made a blog on it. I promoted that blog using level 2 yahoo answers account(daily 10-20 answers with blog URL on resource). And I got some sales from that! How can I say Yahoo answers actually made the sales? Because the blog is very new and was not indexed by search engines and Yahoo Answers was my only traffic source.
what niche are you in? I am in the fitness/fat loss niche and my answers either used to get deleted, or the answers didn't even appear for some reason even after pressing submit... but if it really works, I will get to level 2 and do it again.
Niche like 'fat loss' is very competitive and will get easily flagged on YA. But if you want work on that niche only try to find a 'sub-niche' within your niche(being creative is the key!). You will still be benefited by targeted traffic from YA.
it may get you some sales but your comment need to be very attrative you dont write like: heeeey yees i know what you need you need to buy that product yeaah man, it will help you a lot as it did for me, but heyy i have a link where you can buy it here you go "your aff link" dont wait for anyone to buy from it
I use Yahoo Answers a lot and may be one of those people who had your answer deleted, sorry. How to make it work? There's a couple things to do: 1. Make your answer relevant - first! As someone noted above, those one-liner and self promotion answers won't cut it. If you're in weight loss, then give a useful tip and use the yahoo search feature to go to your site, then use that link. Don't just type in your url because it sends up a red flag. (don't tell anyone I told you that!). 2. Stop posting the same answer in different sections, it will get all of your answers deleted - quickly by Yahoo. Remember those people you see with "best answers" or high answer counts have been doing this a long time. Which means they are on Yahoo Answers almost daily and know what they're doing. 3. Don't be an idiot...lazy. Pick your category, focus on that one category and if you aren't familiar with the laws or culture in Pakistan, stop trying to slip your US product in there. Focus on who your target market may be, then look for questions that your product or service may fit. If I think of anything else, I'll post it here.
what do you mean, 'use the yahoo search feature to go to your site, then use that link.'? What's the difference between that and copy and pasting your link? (assuming you give quality answer)
I tried yahoo, is it very effective in ranking our listing, bringing sales through. Best strategy as discussed to link affiliate products to our answers to particular question which related product niche.
I've had sales from yahoo answers traffic but in my experience it's not really worth the effort. I leave good quality, informative, helpful answers and just link to my site (I don't use affiliate links) but my answers still get flagged. Possibly by competitors seeing as an ordinary user would have no reason to report my answers.
