Definitely yes. Not counted in PR directly but if you have links in WP articles for a long period your site authority is going up.
Irrelevant of do/nofollow, it's still an authority link that's worth having if you can get it. WebDev
Wki links give you nofollow backlinks with awesome traffic as well . Google give preference wikipedia website. so if you get wikipedia backlinks so its good for your website
Wait why do nofollow links give you any help? I get the traffic maybe, but i thought it doesnt help anymore
Not to mention the fact that you want nofollow links in your backlink profile anyway- an entirely dofollow portfolio is not natural. WebDev
Links from Wikipedia are no follow in nature. It will not be counted for your ranking. But if you can manage that, you can get very much targeted and direct traffic.
Definitely, google loves the links from wikipedia and even if you won't get better rankings, you will get plenty of traffic.
Personally I had no effect on my SERP's when I got featured a plenty of times on Wikipedia for some unique information I posted on my website.
I think we all give some value to information in Wikipedia. It comes up number one for most every search. So I would assume Google gives value to them as well. Just because they are nofollow, does not mean Google doesn't pass juice in its formula. No one really knows if it does or not. Only Google does.
yes, its always good to have links from authoritative domains as they carry lot of value though they are no follow
Agree with Eugeanne! I can have great impact to your traffic. Just think how you use wikipedia and you can see if it's useless or not.
Another follow/nofollow thread I have improved my keywords mostly from nofollow links during years, ask all penguin affected people what happened with all their dofollow/anchored ones. Anyway rules changed, I dont think anymore on link juice, pyramids, private networks, thats very old stuff and we all know old things usually doesnt work.
