Do we really need a niche to make money?

I am newbie. I don't have my website yet. And I have made my first $400 in my first month through pay/click affiliate program. I know eventually a website is really needed.

But initially to start the things rolling and making some quick cash do we really need any niche? Why can't we just start promoting any product which is converting well.
Building Website and promoting it is really quite time consuming process. And I think even article marketing is better/less time consuming than making a real website.
I think this is the sequence for a newbie:-
    1. Promote without website
    2. Do Article Marketing
    3. Make 2-3 small Product Review blogs
    4. Start video marketing
    5. _ _ _ _ _ _
    6. _ _ _ _ _ _
    10. Build a solid website

Please suggest me better sequence/process. Thanks

there are alot of ways to make money
having a niche is the most common and publicly proved good way to do it.
of course, your own procedure will also do
sometimes it may even work better than the normal ways

It's possible to make money without any website.
I have seen many marketers promote affiliate offers with PPC networks directly.
Hence, they don't require any landing page or websites to promote offers.
Even, You can also promote offers by creating simple web-pages at Squidoo or Blogspot,
If you's advertiser doesn't allow you to link them directly.

Let me know, Which offer suitable for you? I can give you it with highest payout at YeahCPA.
    Thanks,

I still need to make a sale in Clickbank. If I get my first sale, they I'll believe its really possible to make money via Clickbank.

There is no right or wrong way to do things, most affiliates with websites dont make $400 in the first month, if this method is working for you then stick with it, your plan sounds like a sound one :)

Neither we need a niche nor a website initially. But eventually, if you want consistent income you must have both.

Finding a good niche is the choice of almost blogger/webmaster. But without promoting that niche you will end up for nothing. As they said, there are so many ways to make money online in a few steps. just sit down in your computer make a blog/website review or sell products, join affiliate programs. And it takes time to earn money in online. your lucky earning $400 in the first month.. hahaha. just keep it up.

I think this is a process. Keep going with what works and then expand as things become routine and you need a new challenge. By then you might have some cash available from your sales and you will be able to do things you'd like and have seen while working.
