Do we need to get license for online paid games?

    Hi Friends,
    I have a website and i was thinking to make it more interactive my having some game on it where 2 members can compete each other with some amount of money (eg $5) where the players can play the game and the winner takes away the money and the site gets 5% or so...

    But I would like to know,is this legal and can i do this??
    or,
    Do i need to get some on-line betting/casino etc license or something??

    I don't want to get into any sort of trouble.Your help and feedback would be really appreciated.

    That's like taking a rake. This issue definitely borders on gambling, and you may get into legal problems later on.
