Belief in something is good. It keeps you focused and if what you're focused on is something worthwhile and can help and benefit people then you're okay and you won't need grand ideas about unseen things to support your goals. But organized belief is something else. It's tendency is to grab your mind and your money. No, I think mass suicides isn't going to happen if we don't have those churches and religions. You just look it up. The Middle Ages didn't have suicides even with the threat of torture and death being foisted upon the population by the Religious Inquisitors because the mass killings in the name of religion were perpetrated by the inquisitors themselves..
That's what he said: "we need religion to spend our life beautifully ..." Eating rotten human flesh and kissing dead dogs...maybe it is in the Qu'ran for a beautiful life...
That's the catch foisted by the religionists. Their religion will save you, in exchange for mental slavery.
They were not caused by religion in fact. They were caused by greed and politics covering with religion
Do we need anything really? Not especially. Oxygen, Water, Food....that's it. Perhaps we should ask less about what we need and more about how we can accommodate and respect it.
Obama, Merkel, and Kiev need one more than anybody else. AND THAT MUST BE CHRISTIAN. Only hope for them to help them for the better.
