Do we get a PR from web directories ?

Hi folks, i wonder if we submit to a web directory with a PR5 for example, do we get a PR3 after that? Is there some directories for that, do we have to pay or ?

 

depending upon which page they are linking back to you, they can give you a pr3 link. but this in itself won't make your website pr3. there are lots of pr5 directories, both paid and unpaid, if you do a search in DP.

You wont get much effect from a link from a average directory. Site Sift and Botw are good, but most are crap and might even hurt your site.

 

they can't hurt your site if you dont provide reciprocal

 

Thats not true at all. Bad neighbourhood with low link count from quality sites will mean it can hurt your site a lot in Google.

 

it only hurts you if you link to a bad neighborhood, not the other way around.
