Do u own an External Portable Hard Disk Drive?

    I am looking to purchase an External Portable HDD. Do u have an external HDD?.which company is it.? and how much space?..

    I buy good Seagate drives and put them into external USB cases. Most external drives (other than Seagate) use cheap drives that won't last long. The end price is about the same. (And it's trivial to put the drive into the case. I did the last one in the car while my wife was driving us home.)

    I don't have portable HDD, I'm using Ubuntu One ( Cloud Storage ) it's safer for my important files, you'll get a 5GB storage for free account but if you want more space upgrade to premium account.

    There are lots of HDD with good price in ebay. I bought mine in ebay and I'm highly satisfied and also purchased it in a much lesser price.

    Yes, i do have 320 GB external portable hard disk (which is manufactured by WD). However, It's not working right now and don't know the reason.

    Then never listen to "they" again. While WD used to be one of the best, it's now just about the worst. Stick with Seagate.

    @josefaryan:
    There are too many failure modes for an external drive for anyone to be able to diagnose your problem here.

    1TB Clickfree drive backs up everything every 4 hours including the OS just plug it in and forget about it.
