my friend... GOD is the OMNIPOTENT... nothing HE cannot do... everything HE wishes to happen, happens. God created the first man (Adam) using the essence of black soil (clay)... and of course, all science comes from GOD HIMSELF. we call it, the law of nature, where the creator of the "law" is outside of the law itself and therefore, THE CREATOR is free of the law.
I do believe in both science & God. God - There is a super natural power in world we can call it God.
you have the best answer, pal... even your idea was first created by GOD himself. how did you shape your brain? and why, no body in this world the same, despite the fact that, we are from both sperm and ovum???
Personally having researched both topics, I ultimately believe that science is a direct product of our creator. If you study just how perfectly designed our own human bodies are and the sciences that are used to study us, it is hard for me to deny that one exists because of the other. Without our brain's ability to even ponder the ideas around "creation vs. science" and the ability the mind has to weigh any contrasts, the topic would be, in a word, unknown. Without the complexities and the very ability to simply THINK, science would cease to exist, nor ever have existed. Without the beautifully CREATED brain and its natural capabilities to produce THOUGHTS, we never would know of the "sciences" at all. Therefore, in my view, God=Science
I believe in God and science. I do not believe in false religious teaching or false science which happens due to human error or human bias. Science backs God now anyway. We now know that the universe had a beginning, meaning it had a cause which exists outside our universe (spaceless, timeless etc.) Watch "William lane Craig vs Christopher Hitchens" debate on youtube, it's a good one, interesting to hear both side in an intelligent format.
You mean like the ability to get cancer, and the fact that our spines were designed to be used while standing on all 4 legs (and dozens of other things that we could design better)? If we were designed by a creator, he's a totally incompetent creator.
Sin has messed us up, thus cancer and other problems etc. Also we appear to be de-evolving, not evolving. People used to be bigger, taller and naturally live longer if you are a Bible believing Christian. The earliest humans lived hundreds of years.
If you believe in sin - those who don't believe in gods, and many who believe in a god but don't believe in your god, don't believe in sin. If you believe in God, then you believe in a god who created cancer. Blame him, not us. "Evolving" means "changing" - you can't "de-change". In your religious fantasy. In the real world (IOW, in skeletons we've actually found), people used to be shorter and die younger. They also were less healthy. And if you're a fairy-tale-believing child, wolves eat grandmas and take their places. But we're talking about reality, not fairy tales like religion.
Another great debate is between Lane Craig and Sam Harris. Also Dawkins vs Lennox. Interesting to watch and trying to asses each point.
Classic chicken or the egg question. Science can explain somethings but not others. For instance, Darwin's theory of evolution can explain why monkeys have long arms, but not why monkey's exist.
You're assuming that there is a "why", but there's no evidence that there is. Science is questions that can't be answered (yet), religion is answers that can't be questioned (because if you question them you realize that they're nonsense). Remember, the reason that the sun crosses the sky every day is because the sun god pulls it across the sky with his chariot - according to religion. If there had been science back then, the scientific answer would have been "we don't know yet", which would at least not have been totally wrong.
I'm not a fan of science myself. There's a little too much "lets guess then wear a white coat so it counts as a theory and we can say its proof" business. the problem is some science is just made up with an imagination. Some guy who's a respected person says something, hands it to hollywood, then everyone believes it. Let's not forget about that according to science the world will end in 2012(ha, that lasted long). the whole trouble with science(that disproves God) is comes to one of my favorite quotes "There was nothing & nothing happened, then nothing magically exploded for no reason creating everything, and then a bunch of everything rearranged itself for no reason which then turned into life, then dinosaurs came around." -According to science. That about sums up science in a nutshell which is sad. Eventually people just didn't believe it so now for the past 20 years a lot of people into science says "Its ok for science to be wrong because its science". Then again I have a gift to be able to argue unbiased for and against a lot of topics. This is one of them. This is the problem with science. All we hear is "Hey, I've got an idea(theory). then some guy makes up something. The big bang theory....just a pie in the sky idea. With Religion there are very strong leadings to evidence/proof to an open minded individual. Not just throwing words and saying that is evidence. Science has dropped the ball so many times because everything about science is just a guess until time passes and we find out it was not correct.
Well .. goood comments ... so firstly i would like to say thnx for every good and bad ans... specially i like ur thoughts laceyGirl. Thing is that. We do not want to belive in god. bcoz we always talk about 21st century . But fact is God made us. Without God books We are nothing All science Members follow hollybooks. then they say they got one idea or svrals ideas. what rubbish . IF We are good then we will belive in god. If We are trying to reject god reality . so one day we will get gift. So do what u like to do its up to u friends. no one can stop u . but one day life will be be end . like a era. Who can Change reality of moon who can change reality of earth . how holly books got ans . science says now this and that but already hollybooks said thousand years before. ?
Nope, only by people who don't know the first thing about science - like you. A theory isn't proof. (Only math uses proof - other sciences use theory - which is not proof, nor does ANY scientist ever claim theory is proof.) But a theory is backed by so much fact that only silly know-nothings won't accept those facts. Let's not forget that - according to science - that's just a movie. But according to people who pretend to know something (like you) - but know nothing - that nonsense is "scientific fact". Since there's no actual objective evidence of any god (not yours, not any other one) - and never has been any - science doesn't even address the assertion (that's all it is) of gods. No, that quote is from Christianity - it's a distortion of what science says. Why? Because the people who say it can't understand what science actually says, so they make up their own stupidified version of what science says. What's really sad is that your quote is the reason intelligent people call creationists "cretinists". And that's an insult to real cretins - they're much more intelligent. There's no law that everyone has to be educated enough to understand the advances that knowledge has made in the past 20 years. If one wants to remain stupid, it's completely legal. Allowing such people to have any influence on how the world is run, though, should be a capital crime. There's a reason the US was founded to allow only those who owned land to vote, and it had nothing to do with race. White morons weren't given the franchise either. Too bad you didn't use it here. Or, at least, that's how it sounds to you, because you can't understand how it really works. Voltaire said it best, but you wouldn't understand him either. About as much "pie in the sky idea" as the one that touching a lighted match to gasoline is a bad idea. Just a "theory". Everyone who argues against the big bang theory should try testing the "gasoline theory" - with their own gasoline, their own match and their own hand. They might learn something. So the actual objective evidence that ANY god has EVER objectively existed is? (No logical fallacies, now - real objective evidence. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt by assuming that you actually know what "objective evidence" means.) You mean like the "religious theory" that the reason the sun crosses the sky every day is because the sun god carries it across the sky in his chariot? That "evidence"? Yep - your computer doesn't actually work - your god is really what makes the internet work. And when is your next electroshock treatment due?
