as I know, Qur'an says that God created Adam(the first human in the world) from soil. we know that vegetables, potatoes, rice, wheat, etc are grow on the ground. Animals eats the plants, and there're plant extracts in their body. We eat animals and vegetables, so there are plant extracts in our body. This extract has an important part in male gamete(sperm) creation. Maybe this is what Allah mean in the holy Qur'an that human is created from the soil. I hope it helpful to all of you
I have been born in a Muslim family, grown up in a Christian school, and all the time been surrounded by Atheist and Agnostic friends... What is the "belief" that we are talking about? As i can see here, we all are talking for the second type of belief, as described by Jack Macintosh "Existential Claim" which states And this is exactly what religion is implementing, or better say, trying to implement in the peoples mind, with the only difference that "witches and ghosts" or "fairies" are replaced with "God", "Christianity", "Buddha" etc etc. Or at least this is what I am listening once in a while when I am talking with my friends about this topic.. Till the 17th century the history tells us that the Church could even kill (burn) and restrict certain teachings as being heretical. That some lessons or some inventions we made by Lucifer, the Devil, etc etc. Till now the Religion seems to be the true evil force here. Religion, using the human need to believe in something superior, it is often used as a brainwashing tool. But at the other hand, we have Religion, believing in ore or more deity or divine power that has created and controls the Human life and the Universe. Trying to give answer to what the science, or our "terrestial" intelligence, cannot give an explanation. Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going? What is our mission here? What happens after we die? Does afterlife exists? What it really is Good and Evil... Now, to tell my opinion, i must confess that "Yes! I believe in GOD" and "No, I do not believe in Science!" Science, is not a system which ask for your belief or not. Science (from the meaning of it own word) is knowledge. It deals with facts and truths. It is a Systematized Knowledge. To ask if you believe in Knowledge or not, now that is not so smart, or better say, stupid. Religion, in the other hand, is a cultural system. They intended to give meaning to life, to unanswered questions. They tend to derive what morality and ethics are. They give their preferred lifestyle from their ideas about the human nature. So see, it is a difference between science and religion. Between Science and God. To be more complete in my answer, i would like to add that Science is created by humanity. Its our knowledge. We... we are the one created by GOD. Science is the way that make us closer with GOD. Knowledge is that way. The more we have, more perfect we make ourselves. I want to end this post with a quote from the famous scientist Einstein. PS: But, not always people believe in GOD through a religious system. They just tend just to believe that there is this deity, this supreme power, but not trust to any of the religions out there in the market. This kind of guys are Deists. There are Theists too, which believe in Allah or Jesus or Buddha but they don't follow any of the religious rules.
This question is not easy we need to have full knowledge before any arguments. Those religions have the answeres to this, and the religion doesn't have answer may not be valid. Science is not even 100 years and its in learnig process. Bottom line: Learn about those religions and ask questions from them i am sure you will get your answer.
I think it is a difference side between God and science. Like if you saw a hill from north must be difference from south. So God and science can not be mix to each others.
I m muslim soo I belive in God than Science because islam encouraged science and the first vers in Quran was learn
Science is not the opposite of God. Science is not a belief. Science means facts. It can be disputed facts, but there is no "belief" in science. Or at least there shouldn't be.
