Do TLDs that are .info or .name have less power with SE's?

I'm just wondering if the .info, .name, .tv, etc. domains have less "power" in the search engines algorithms? Will it hurt one of my clients if he has a .info domain name?

It will hurt your clients to have those domain names, not because the search engines look down on such domains, but because people do. Business sites should have a .com domain if they are in the USA. Informative sites can have a .info domain or a .net domain without looking cheap. .tv domains do look cheap, but for a site that's about something tv-related it could work.

It's mainly PR: and PR will make a difference to which sites will link to your site.

These domains do not have less authority in Google. However humans May look open them differently.

    Thanks for your responses!

I have a client who already owns a .info domain name that he bought because it only cost $1. I'll try to talk him out of using it.

    Thanks again!

These tld's are as same as .com for se purpose but these are ratherly used by many spammeres (i am talking about .info not sure about .name) .

Also there is a pricing factor.

    Regards.
