1. Do think all religions give equal rights to men and women? 2. Do you think all religions teach the same thing? 3. Do you think all religions are equal?
Haha, same as above. Though some may argue that all religions teach basically the same thing. Not that I am one of those.
1. Do think all religions give equal rights to men and women? not a hope in hell 2. Do you think all religions teach the same thing? if thats bullshit, then yes 3. Do you think all religions are equal? no, but each one claims to be superior than the rest
1.no 2.no 3.I don't understand what you mean by all the religions being "equal". In what way are you asking if they are equal?
1. Nearly no religion equals man and women, especially those which use the religion to make war. 2. In my oppinion every religion has the same target. organise the social life. Depending on the culture, every religion has it's own way to reach that. 3. If you mean with that that every core of the religion is the human then I would say yes. Otherwise no.
Then she should be complaining about why it took so long for men to allow the religion to evolve enough for women to be pastors. I guess the next logical question is... how many women pastors do you know vs men? Yay equality! Unless I misread you and you're actually trying to tell me that women were allowed to even speak at senior religious gatherings that determined the shape of religion at the dawn of recorded time? Then again if you're not trying to say that I guess your post was a lil pointless.... *shrugs*
In order to answer that question, I need to know what you mean as religion. After that what you mean with equality. These ideas have been discussed for centuries! Hard to come up with answers in 3 short sentences, but for the sake of argument, I think religions are not dictated dogmas. When the practises of religion of people after a long time become reutinized and then mindlessly continued then the understanding of religion turns into mindless action. This practice of religion makes the religious belief a dogma. I think the way religions were examplified by the Prophets, they were not at all dogmas. The suggestions of religions (not rules) are adoptable according to the societies. A traveling person, for example, do not practice his/her religion exactly in the same way. That shows the adoptability of religion according to the situation. So, in a society where women are already demeaned, what a religion does is to decrease the level of oppression as much as the people of that society can handle the change. Remember, religions do not dictate rules, they suggest, they advice. They do not eliminate the bad, they are there to help people to understand themselves and have a belief in God.
I know that in Islam women have no equal rights to men. Where did you get your info from? For example Muhammad married a 9 year old girl Aisha at the age of 53. I never heard in a muslim country, a 9 year old boy got married to a 53 years old woman. Also, I never saw muslim men with covered faces. That's not the case with the muslim women.
