Hey, I have been doing affililate marketing for about 3 months now, and it seems to me that the gurus sell themselves on the fact that they are going to let you in on the secrets that they personally use to make all their money. I have realised after falling for this trip quite a few times and buying into various programs that this is where the whole marketing trick is, and it seems quite obvious to me that they never really tell you any of their methods that are really making them good money. Are there any good gurus out there, that actually have a heart and want to genuinely help those who are where they once where in the internet marketing game? Nick
Well it really depends who the "Guru" is, and what he is selling. Some of them are so full of crap it's unreal; just regurgitating old info and never really detailing what they are personally doing to make their dosh. Others do give details though, at least enough to get you going. You soon get a feel for who is legit and who is just full of hot air and merely a "self proclaimed" guru. Travis, the fella who does Bum Marketing isn't really a Guru - though I consider him one. He shows you step by step in free videos how to market affilate products without spending a penny. Sign to his list and watch what he does www.bummarketingmethod.com Off the top of my head I can think of a few more. Harvey Segal (he gives some good free stuff - in fact click on the second link in my sig and download the free ebook on the site. That's his book, and it gives some unique info on affiliate marketing via articles). Jonathan Leger, David Valliere are other good ones who give detailed and valuable info, often free. JP Schoeffel is also another good one. He does the Visitor Sense videos that show you step by step how to make money in "real time" - they aren't free though. So yeah, there are some good 'uns, but they are in the minority.
I think that the product they are selling to you IS their secret to making lot of money. If you want big monies, then do what other people are doing to get paid, only do it better!
NO! they are not going to tell you the secret.... no-one isn't going to show you how the make millions, all most all the products are outdated when they come out. They wont give you a magic pill to make cash you need to find your own way. even when products are outdated the key remains the same. Find hungry market - sell product to them.
Most of gurus just want your money,they write some crap ebook and then hire some good copywriter for their nice sales pitch and make money by selling it,dont waste ur money buying all those $47,$97 ebooks.
