Do these types of links count towards link juice?

I have noticed that some social bookmarking sites use links that aren't direct to the site. Here is an example:

I am wondering if this type of link still helps with SEO or do they purposely do it this way so it doesn't count?

They purposely do that so it doesn't count. I personally feel that nofollow links are worth more.

I have noticed that many of them do have a direct link though, so I will keep on doing this. I think combined with blog posts and directory submission, I should have a pretty well rounded campaign!

Do you post bookmarks on article publishing sites? They are much better than social sites for ranking and traffic generation.

What do you mean? Do you mean writing an article and then putting a signature link in it? Can you give me an example?
