    In theory, but by a miniscule amount. Just look at how many outbound sig links there are on dp - they're very low quality as backlinks

    very little if at all. for most part, most threads do not have any PR so, the links from those threads have very little value.

    They might not be so good for PR (small impact) but might be better for webmaster traffic..

    I'm sure they do, seeing as though DP has a nice PR. Another backlink never hurts.

    It might be good for some traffic to your site. I highly doubt whether you will get any link juice from DP.

    It can help increase PR but the increase will be almost minimal. You need to rely on other links to give your site a PR.

    I think google does not give them any pr. Post have very little pr if any and thier are so many it does not help. Person who said webmaster traffic is right they can give you traffic to your site if you have something people need on the forum.

    signature links are dofollow links and every dofollow link helps to increase your rank. it also depends how popular your thread is, and what is its PR.

    I can personally attest that the signature links on DP do help gain traffic. So far I have not seen any indication that they are good for SERPs or PR, but if you are looking for traffic, then the signature links are certainly a choice for you to consider.
