Do the ads count as content? Are they read differently from other content?

I wonder if the ads count as content? And, would an ad or parts of it come up in a search engine search as part of the site it's on?
Just thinking out loud but with enough ads and the rotation giving fresh text it could make a difference...but how?
    Yes...I'm new-ish. :)

Ads won't count as content and won't show in search engines. They display on your site but are served from a different server. If you look at your page's source code you will see the ads show only as a link.

    Well I'm glad somebody knows.
Trying to read blog source code made me edgy and irritable but I did see that the ads are js but other than that just the id #'s, ad format, etc.,.
Now I'm wondering why engines don't pick it up.

    Thanks.
