    Depends on niche and visitors... Try both, sometimes banners make a killing

    text ads have more details so its better too. however i usually prefer image because of its all colorful :)

    It just that text ads seem boring. makes the site look "busy". Do you guys prefer image or text ads as a banner at the top of your site?

    as a visitor, i always look at the text ads and i usually ignore images...my vote...TEXT ADS

    totally depends on the banner (most are ignored, some unresistable), campaign, traffic/readership, and placement in my experience.
