Do tag-cloud helps in any way?

    I saw many sites & blogs to show tag - cloudes. Does it have any SEO help or which reason? I didn't understand .

    TAGS gives your readers a shortcut on your homepage to get into inner subpages just by a word or two. Anyone clicking on you tags will be taken inside. And also it adds to your site beauty.
