Do Submssions Help ?

    In what way and how much do directory submissions help ?
    Is there any other use than for PR ?

    Well they do help, back links, if you submit to 8k directories, you will atleast get a click from them maybe 1 a day, 1 a week, over time I guess it adds up, if a directory is promoted.

    if you buy a link frm alivedirectory.com, that will be very helpfull. you should add your link as many directories as you can. but do not pay a lot.

    Aside from a greater possibility of a higher PR and some traffic, It also gives your site more backlinks which is an essential part of your link building campaign.

    Web directories are the first step in your link building campaign. No other websites will give you free back links. So you should spend sometime linking your sites from directories. If you do not have funds try to find some free directories ;)

    agreed with marketingteam. Relevant category first of helps you back link since it is in a context and also you might get some traffic too.. Traffic that interest them the topic of you website..

    Submit to 500-600 free webdirectorys and if you choose wisly the anchor texts and you can get good rankings

    Yes, it does, but what happens is when you submit to those PR 0 or full of spam directories, it might work the other way..so be careful to where you are going to send your website to...

    ohh...thanks a lot ! i submitted to some directories but got rejected at first...
    but now my link is getting accepted..i guess,choosing the right category is very important,and i was a little confused as to which would be the right directory....

    yup, that right..choose the correct category is them most important in order to get your site in listed.

    Then, find some related keyword as your domain and another thing. Create a new email from your site domain also help your site been accepted.
