    If you want to increase
    (SERPs) you mush gain back links with keywords in anchor text.
    Web directories will help you to receive a constat amount of traffic.

    Backlinks help you climb rankings - submitting to directories is one way to build links. So, it all depends really - are you just going to use directorties to build links?

    yeah but sometimes web directory needed link exchange with your site, and google not likes two way link.

    Just submission wont fetch you anything. You need to get approved in those directories in order to increase your website position in search results and ya don't forget to use the relevant anchor text while submitting links which is very imp too

    yes directory submission which is a type of back linking and among the most effective methods of SEO do improve your page ranking. interesting thing is that there is no limit to submit directories. the more you submit the better you rank

    Yes, but not too much. Instead concentrate on getting links from pages that don't have a high amount of OBL (outbound links). For example, try buying a blogpost on a specific blog that's in the same niche like yours site for a couple of bucks.

    I think it's just one part of a linking strategy and as mentioned earlier, you need to get the link approved. You may need to ping the directory site to let Google know.

    Any quality directory is not going to require a link back to their site. Just submit to all of them you can or pay someone else $50 to do it. It will help a lot if done right.
