do social bookmarking sites help you in your rank or no?

    Do they help you?If so, how do they work? Whats the best way to apply them? so if i link to my site with 10 PR8 Social Bookmarking sites, will that help?

    Well it depends what do you expect, if you submit your site to digg.com and get a couple of diggs really quickly you will get a slight boost of traffic but only temporarily. But if you submit your site to a 1000 Social Bookmarking sites (Even if they aren't that popular) they're all permanent links so on the long run they might give you an edge.

    Social Bookmarking helps in terms of fast indexing at the same time traffic. But it still depend on the SB itself.

    Assuming you are submitting to sites with "dofollow" links, SB can be very helpful for keywords will low and low-medium competition.

    8-10 links aren't going to make much of a difference. You will have to do it on a larger scale to see substantial improvement.

    thanks people, what my goal is to at least make it on first page on google for "free movies" i see many of sites on the main page with only 100-500 inlinks accoring to siteexplorer and they are on main page? can anyone recommend a way to make it to the top?
