There's a strongest sub-pages tool from webuildpages.com which can tell you which webpage of a site is best for seo purposes. It was free before but i think now it is available for members only.
I guess its still worth while as even low page rank adds up, and by posting in forums you are still creating more possibilities for traffic. There are lots of free page rank checkers out there just do a search and you wll get pages of them some of them can do it in bulk. Not all of them work so it's worth trying a few to make sure your getting valid information. Heres one I've used and works only does one url at a time though: Page rank checker
Your view i completely agree. I have seen what is of value today to google tommorrow it will be of lesser value. but the best thing is to add quality content to your site. this will never be devalued.
Yes, I've read about it in several places on the net...the best links are the ones generated naturally in sites relative to yours (specially if they are in high PR sites)...but this is not means that the other links does not count
of course it helps to get clicks, provided you have a interesting website. and... PR wont come from signature links.
Well, nothing is predictable with google, isn't it? Maybe with the next algorithm update all our hard work will be enulled... not for google itself though It always has pagerank 10
I've noticed using link:site in yahoo, that DP links show up at the very bottom of the list. With another forum showing up directly above DP, and then all my natural links from non forum/blog sites showing up towards the top. Although Yahoo doesn't state so, it would seem Yahoo is somehow prioritizing the back-links. Anybody know?
