Do Search Engines read the text in a marquee?

    Do Search Engines read the text in a marquee? Because if so, then couldn't you just put a lot of text related to your website in a marquee which would save you a lot of space...

    So anyone know (i think it does but I'm not 100% sure)?

    Marquee kills usability. Don't use it.

    I agree. remember the days of the marquee and the dreaded blink tag? I remember webmasters making errors and had the whole page scrolling or blinking.

    marquee is just another tag, search engines can read it as well as any other text.

    I agree with that. The text is still on the webpage. If you put <font> tags around text it will still be read, so I dont see why a <marquee> tag would be any different, even if its moving visually.

    i think yes search engines read text in marque. this is not js code this is only tag so engines see this texts.
