Do Screen Captures Violate Copyrights

I was just wondering whether I could use screen captures I took playing video games. I know that I probably wouldn't get much trouble, but I was just wondering if it counted under fair use. I wanted to add the images to some articles and reviews I wrote, and I wondered how the copyright issues worked in this instance.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

If its a review(news) and your not using the image to sell something, then yes you can use it as far as I remember.

 

If you follow the Fair Use guidelines, you should be okay.

 

if they were to be copyrighted why would tv people even show it??
