Do redirects keep your old keywords?

If I have domain1, and I redirect it to domain2, will I still keep the keywords from the first domain? Will the second one come up in google for the other's keywords?

That's probably worded terribly, but you I hope it makes sense.

If you have domain 1. Then domain 1 will have it's own keywords, from what I think, search engines don't like redirects.
Anyway, domain 1 would have certain keywords and domain 2 would have other keywords.
Keywords do not transfer, they stay with each page.

Redirecting one domain to another will have no impact or effect on the keywords in the first domain name. It's all about the content on the page, which would be on the Web site built with the second domain name.
