Do redirects hurt SEO?

    Hi y'all,

the content of my site www.guitarstringguide.com is all in a sub-directory /drupal/ and I have a redirect for all "root" traffic to this directory.

Is this a negative for SEO? Should I change it to be in the root?

    Cheers,
    Paul

Redirects when done properly don't hurt. At least this has been the case with me so far and with many other people.
