Do redirection frames disable the SSL Lock during checkout?

    One of my websites is an affiliate website for a pet medication company. I having a programmer design a re-direct frame to keep customers aware that they have been directly linked by me to an appropriate merchant to purchase their pet medication and supplies. However, I have noticed some frames do not show the SSL "Lock" at the bottom right hand corner of the browser during checkout. Is it a wise idea to use frames? If I do use them, should i include a security note on my website for clarification? Or is this problem easily solved if my site is SSL Secure?

    This is pretty urgent, any advice is appreciated.
