Do redirect URL's pass PR?

A pretty basic question from a novice - do redirect url's (like the links published on DIGG) pass PR?

Eric Enge interviewed Matt Cutts of Google and uncovered a few interesting tidbits about Google, but the most significant piece of information was that 301 redirects do not fully pass the PageRank from the redirect.

 

of course with digg you can increase PageRank.

 

will DIGG increase my pagerank even though my URL is not displayed in the hyperlink? The links always show up as"digg.com/story/r/....."

They are "do follow" links but does this actually pass pagerank?

 

No I would say.. They are redirected from another server. If Digg provided direct links to our websites they could have passed link juice. This what I think.

Nope. If it's not a direct link to the page, it will bring you traffic but not the juice.
