Do Random links still count as backlinks?

    Right,

So I have been offered a backlink (for a $$ fee) from a pretty high ranking and authorative website. However the position I will be placed in is one in which my link will be rotated with other links meaning that the search engine spiders can crawl the link one second then refresh the page and my link will be gone and replaced by someone elses.

My question basically is with links like these that are on a rotation with other links do they still get the same, or at least nearly the same, SEO benefit as static links?

I would pass or tell them you will only be interested in a permanent link contextual link with the anchor text of your choosing.

That may be beneficial if search engine index on current page but next time search engine will not find your link on same position then your link will not give you any benefit so static links are precious and gold.

Net Profit will be 0. And if you buy these types of links a lot then it's sure to have maximum changes in your SERP

I think such a system could even have a negative affect, Google isn't as stupid as people think it to be. If they indicate suspisious backlink activity (there one minute gone the next) then it could infact get you penalized. If it was a no-follow link you'd be alright, but seeing as these links are for the purpose of passing link juice along I'd pass personally unless it was a static link.

I agree, don't waste your money on that rotating backlink. Try to get static links instead.

You wont get any benefit from such links.
    Build some permanent static links.

Try for the static its more better solution. The random links are not powerful as compare to the static one.

Those could hurt you. Personally I wouldn't pay for them.
