Do PR0 Sites Help At All?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by BargainBait, Mar 30, 2007.

So I know that PR0 links are basically the worst link you can get for link exchanges as far as trying to get PR fast, but with all of the negative remarks about them, Do PR0 links still help out at all? For example, If I had 1,000 PR0 links to my site, would I have a higher PR than 0-1?

    They don't hurt any

as for your 1,000 pr0 question, if all links got indexed by google, you would gain some pr.

If google doesn't know about the pr0 sites, then no.. it wouldn't help much.

No, it doesn't give you any points to higher PR, but it can help in your position in search engine a little.

PR0 now could be PR4 or more at the next update.
So they could be helpful latter.

excellent point...the fallacy is when you think you know what a page's pr is -- you don't. the toolbar gives a hint, but the true pr is always in flux, and as long as pages are linking to yours it can only help, right? what you think is a pr 0 could well be a pr1 or 2, etc

Any inbound links will help add to the validity of your site. Obviously, PR0 is quite low-ranked, but as long as it's indexed, it can't hurt !

Sorry this is a load of s~@*

PR XYZ means bugger all when it comes to SERPS.

1000 highly relevant links to your site will help your position in the search engines alot.

As a side not with 1000 links its likely you'd get at least a PR1...

It helps, as long as the site is indexed by Google, PR is not that important for link building.

I agree. All backlinks won't hurt unless you're linking to bad sites.

Try concentrate on getting relevant links instead of PR hunting for now. You can PR hunt when your PR7/8, for now concentrate on building up relevance, submitting to directory's and getting blog posts (for deep links) also try get some .edu and .gov links. Then youll see your site climb the search engines. Then once you have a PR5+ then its time to buy high pr back links, although still try keep a good ammount of relevancy in there

My understanding in regards to search engines is that it looks more natural to have links from a variety of page ranks. If you have only pr5 and pr6 links it looks unnatural.

Also as stated, todays pr0 could be tomorrows pr7. If you think the site is a quality site, and if the link is relevant you should probably go for it.

Look at the long-term about the sites. They could be pr3/4 next update or maybe pr1/2 either way its potential pr in the long-term and thats only good for you :)

PR0 today....maybe PR4 tomorrow. a PR0 link won;t cost you anything but a PR4+ will do. So here's the advantage. Your page rank will increase at every Google update if you start with lot's of pr0 back links and will increase big time if you have highr pr back links. It's all just a matter of patience. It's easier, to start with pr0 and you get much more of them linking to you. I recommend this process or. if you can't wait, try text-link-ads and find yourself related websites to pay the webmasters and host your links there.

Good points everyone. It's time to buy some permanent PR0 links. What a smart investment!
