Do PR checker websites still work?

hey guys just a question do any of the pr checkers websites still work?

I woke up this morning and my google toobar is telling my my blog is now PR4 but when I visit any prchecker website it says N/A.

can someone telling if its just a glitch and my blog still doesnt have a pr or not?

For me, yes... its still working... but there are times (like last night) that its not working properly. Anyway, most of the times, it works well.

 

I usually use firefox plugin called search status.its a great tool.
it works fine.

 

Some work, some don't. I've never put much faith in them. Even Google says that their toolbar is just an estimation.

 

so where to find out real PR then, if google's toolbar shows "just an estimation"

 

thats the one I use. It must have had a glitch because I am back to being unranked now. I made sure it wasnt just keeping the pr from the last page by checking it after visiting multiple websites and then opening firefox and viewing the PR (blog is home page).

So I must say my hopes are crushed.
