Do posts & itrader counts for selling something on DP?

    Hi,

I am not very new to this forum but usually I don't post here, I just read the posts... you can say I am lazy in postings.

Now I want to sell a "Dating Site Template" but no one is replying. I was wondering that it might be because of my less number of posts or having no itrader value. Is it because of that thing?

Now should I start postings heavily and increase my number of posts so that people will purchase my template?

please help me what could be the reason that no one is showing interest in purchasing my template? :(

    Thanks

iTrader can represent a lot, because people are very wary about what they buy as many people have been scammed before.

Posts and Itrader do count, but if you do have a quality product and appear to be a clean seller, there is no reason why somebody won't do biz with you

To me personally, post count doesn't matter... just iTrader...

Try buying/selling something less risky at first, like text links, then move onto bigger and better things once you have a fair number of positive iTrader comments...

    Of course they count.

The problem in B/S/T is that people can't keep up with all the new threads.

I am giving 3 sig links free for a week and my thread is nowhere to be seen(probably on the 10th page)

It counts because more and m ore people are joining just to scam people. It makes everyone wary of making deals with someone who has not been on long. I often look for posts count and Itrader. The other problem is that you have to catch the right crowd of members at the right time or your post gets buried and you get no bites. The other thing is, people may not be interested at all. There are a lot of free and cheap templates for dating sites that maybe no one is willing to buy one for that price.

ok, I understand that people will not trust me if I don't have good iTrader... but I am not doing any kind of cheating. Whatever I am selling is 100% of my own design and I do have the original files of those designs.

I have sold out some templates on other forums... should I ask those buyers to say something about my work and honesty so that people can trust me?

Should I post the links to those threads on other forums where I sold my designs successfully?

If you have more iTrader and green blobs you will get more sales. iTrader and green blobs show your reputation.

Always the first couple of sales are going to be hard, try lowering your template price... Think of it like a promotion. :)

The higher your itrader is, the more reputable you are. I take extra precautions with those that have 0 itraders because you never know, some just register to scam people.

maybe dp members are not interested in that, and the price is too high.
It has nothing to do with your i trader, this comes to play only in big purchases.

Actually I completely agree with your point that iTrader has nothing to do in my case. May be the price is the reason.

My price is high because of the quality of the template and the time I have spent on it.

But may be if someone asks for a discount, I can think about it.
