Do Politicians Get To Pocket Raised Campaign Cash?

    What happens to the left over funds that politicians raise for their campaigns? Do they get to keep those funds?

    I don't think they can just keep it for personal use. But they can keep it within their "system." In other words they can use it for later campaigns. I imagine there are all kinds of loopholes, since they make the rules.

    I've only heard of a few cases of left over campaign cash, and from what I've seen it generally gets donated to under-funded campaigns of members of the same party.

    there are certain tax rules...they are not allowed to keep it...I think most save it for future campaigning, whether for them for for their party...
