Do people subscribe via Email

    For those of you who run pretty successful blogs, have you found that people subscribe for email alerts very often, i.e. is it popular for your readers to do so, providing you have that option enabled

    Just interested to know :D

    Quite popular if you have a blog that is updated regularly with informative/unusual/entertaining content. I offer email subscriptions on all my blogs and my most popular free blog, YouTube Karaoke, has about 150 email subscribers after only 4 months. It's very easy to implement email subscriptions using something like FeedBurner so there's no excuse for not trying it.

    I agree, give people every opportunity that you can to get them back, and make it easy on them.
    Many people still have no idea what an RSS feed is.

    Yes lots of ppl prefer email subscription. RSS readers are still the toy of geeks and techies. Not everyone knows how to use an RSS reader. Email suscriptions are the best way for such ppl to track the regularly updated blogs.
