I hate having to call bull shit here for fear of being wrong and ruining the reputation of a legitimate directory owner, but I'm gonna have to go for it. The two directories in your signature. Particularly the one with a domain that really says "directory" (http://www.agenfrozenfood.com/) Agen Frozen Food? I really question the validity of the domains, directories and the PR associated with them. I find it really hard to believe that the PR belongs to either directory, but rather to previous domains. What say you?
Mia there is nothing wrong for a directory to sell frozen food online. The one i like its jointeamtom.com they have an enty on youtube as well at youtube.com/user/HerrmannforCongress This directory seems a candidate for Congress. Let us help it with a 5$ hihi
Just a joke Of course i have. they are listed here as well http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2315553
I think because people trust the paid ones give the link the best position and dont remove he link for the paid time period.
Yes they do and do it soo much because i personally being owner get paid submissions, BUT SELECTING PAID DIRECTORIES SHOULD BE MAD WISELY BECAUSE YOU PAY THEM SOME GOOD $$
I submitted few paid links on pr5 directory www.mastbusiness.com .It worked great specially for UK websites as this directory is UK hosted.
People think the quality of link and long life time guarantee of paid directories but there are also few good free directories as well.
I think when there's supply, there will be demand therefore the paid directories actually do have people.
I guess everybody is facing this challenge. Reason - Google Penguin update. People are scared to build links these days.
I don't think google is going to be around much longer. Frankly their web site is no longer a search engine. It used to be. But now the first 10 results are mired with dead links, mfa sites and non-relevant pages to the search terms entered. Anyway, if all my traffic depended on Google, I'd not be in business.
I am planning to pay some paid directories cause they provide warranty of listing for a certain period of time. Also, I am planning to build my own directory.
Yes, webmasters do submit links to paid directories. Though I think that the main reason is no other than because the competitors are already listed. Most webmasters will google competitorsite.com and find out who is linking them, so they do the same hoping that the result will be similar.
Submitting website link to paid directories are more beneficial as they will get approve fast , and will help in search engine ranking also.
