I went on their site but can't find out any info on how to get one. Are they still available? If not, what is another reputable VCC I can get?
Yes paypal does offer Paypal debit card Here is the info https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/acc/dc_intro-outside
Thanks for the link. However, it doesn't seem to be what I thought it was. Lemme go about this another way... What if I want to open up different accounts on a web site using different CC #'s? What is the best way to do this for someone who lives in the U.S.? I was under the impression that one could get these virtual CC's and simply load each one up with a certain amount of money, use it, then close the account and get a new one. What do I need to do this?
The virtual credit cards are linked to your account. You don't load them up with anything, it's linked to the balance in your account and your secondary form of payment. You install the paypal plugin toolbar from the home screen when you log-in and when you restart your browser you will see the paypal logo in the far right of your toolbar, select that and proceed to create your virtual credit card.
So a new credit card # is generated for each new purchase? Would the site know you are a returning customer or would it think you are a new one?
PayPal accept VCCs because paypal cannot recognize it as a VCC. However VCC works properly with the verification but within about few months VCC expires, then you'll have to purchase another VCC.
