I make about $10/mo off parking, but I'm parking over a couple hundred domains. The payoff per click is horrible. I mostly own .com's and .net's, and 2 or 3 word domains or phrases. I've never had a single one of my .me's even get any type in traffic, and I own many 1-word dictionary word ones.
I was just checking out a few of my older domains that i've parked turns out a few of them are actually generating hits, i think i should reactivate them
I've never tried parking a domain but I personally hate parked ones. I wouldn't imagine that they would get many clicks as most people have seen a parked page before and most look quite similar anyway.
A mini site is like a 2-3 page site that can be typed up quickly, with Adsense on it. People make them either as a parking page alternative, or to get their site spidered until they have time to develop a real site with the domain.
used google adsense for domains but still no money from it...got a few hits here and there...but not giving any clicks
One question, just to throw this in, is are you hosting your parked domains alongside your main domains or elsewhere? ie: On the same IP address and/or server or on a different IP address and/or server? I have my own personal sites on 2 different ip addresses. Thinking about putting my own parked domains elsewhere.
that depends...but if you have google adsense, you will need to point the domain according to google instructions..so it will be parked somewhere else.
I'm reading the rules currently. For example, I picked up the domain http://daria.be on a whim and used it for a bit. That project ended but I keep renewing the domain since I would rather not allow it to fall to scrapers. I have found some success with Parked.com and Fabulous.com, but I only park about 100 names and it makes only about $10/month. The real money is in development.
