Before the new interface I used a software named madsense in order to study stats with great details and graphics. But since last september this software hasn't been updated to new adsense login process and so doesn't work anyore. I suppose the programmer doesn't care about it, because it was useful before, but now with the new interface you can have all those datas and graphs and probably more.
What you can do with the new interface is set up some view you like, like today earnings by sites. And save that report, now the saved reports is displayed on the front page of adsense, so when you login, you simply have to click on one of your saved reports, it's the same.
But yes I liked the software better because it was downloading the CSV file from adsense, and then once all the datas are in my computer, browsing it is really fast. But on adsense you have to wait, it depends on your internet connection speed, but still it is always slower than with a software on your computer..

Now on my android phone I downloaded a free app named ADSENSE DASHBOARD, it gives you updated stats, and there are some graphs. It doesn't have everything, even has only a little, but it's good enough, no need to login adsense on the browser, just launch the app, it updates automatically.

The best is to link all those accounts together:
    adsense
    analytics
    webmaster tools

then you get quite very good information in google analytics. You can have real time infos on traffic and also you can know what pages are earning you the most with adsense, it's not always those with the most traffic! So once you know that information you can focus on producing more and more content about those pages topic, so that you'll have more chances to increase earnings quickly with your work.

I agree. The previous interface was more informative.

It took me a bit but I believe the new interface is an improvement because it has better Filtering.

For the beginners a few initial steps to follow would be:

    1. Be aware and Set your Date Range whichever screen you are on
    2. Click "View Full Reports"
    3. Now from the Left menu you can Filter your results (ad units, products, etc)
    4. And further you can now click "Add Dimension" (from below the Bar Graph section) to see more statistics. Try adding Ad Unit combined with Platforms.

    Enjoy!
