Hello all, is the yahoo directory similer to the ODP in the respect that when you finally get listed in the ODP after a few months later and your link starts showing up in loads of other directories that use the results of the ODP ? Do other directories use the YAHOO results like the ODP? As if thats the case I think I will pay to get in! thanks for any help all Cheers mrix
You can show up on the Yahoo directories for other countries. For example uk.dir.yahoo.com ca.dir.yahoo.com etc.
You should be able to list your site in the Yahoo Canada for free and then be picked up everywhere else.
There are hundreds of free directory that have also PR. Do not rely only on Yahoo directory. The more directory you have the bigger the chances of backlinks and traffic.
I have seen for some of my sites the search results do use the result from other directories so while it would not do much in Google but it might work in Yahoo, don't have any knowledge if it still works after the updates though.
