I'm in the process of switching to gmail. On yahoo, lots of legit emails wind up in spam mailbox and everyday I have trouble accessing mail. Customer service was no help with the problem. Bye bye yahoo.

I use Gmail for my personal and bussiness use. And Yahoo Mail for my e-mail in social networking sites. I really don't check my Yahoo Mails. LOL.

Unusual problem. I have a paid account too and never had any problems, also I have several regular accounts too and never ever had any problems with yahoo.
Actually, I tend to believe that Yahoo is the number one in the world as email provider...

    Good luck!

That's like jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. I don't use either (Yahoo or Gmail) for anything except to sign up for services like MyBlogLog, Fantasy Baseball or Google webmasters console.

G mail is just in black and white,
Because of it's back ground and design G Mail is being used less for mailing purpose.
Still, i have experienced that i got more spamming mails on yahoo than gmail.

I dont know why Yahoo is getting less reliable.
I have gotten lots of problems with my yahoo account and I am about to change it.

One other thing, whenever I register some websites, the confirmation mail takes ages to come in my yahoo mail box. I dont know why this is happening so often.

The truth is that for important topics the majority of people more of Gmail relies that of any other one, for the rest I use so many Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail without any problem.

Yahoo mail visually looks better than Windows Live mail, as of now. I prefer the old view of hotmail.

I've been using Yahoo mail for ages now. Yes, at times some legit mails do go into spam but I don't think there would be a mailbox which will know what is spam and what is not (ofcourse unless your brain is fitted inside the mailbox.) Something that is legit to you can be spam for Yahoo. The spammers always have a way around. The best way to save yourself from spam is to avoid spreading your email on sites. I have an Yahoo email id which is but hardly get any spam on it.

Gmail is good, but for me its not user friendly and the GUI sucks big time.

Rediffmail is fast to open but the mails are not received immediately it takes time.

MSN - Open it, have a break till all the crap opens... come back...get pissed & close it!!!!

Best Free Option - Have Gmail configured on an email client. :)

Ive been with yahoo since 2003 a free account, never had any real problems, occasionally i cant log in for a few hours but only once a year max, spam has gone up a lot recently but it goes straight into a spam folder so i dont mind that too much.

it is all relative. I have used a number of free emails over the years, and yahoo is better than average. At least you know they will not dissapear (as some others have) but i have never tried the paid version either.

Gmail is by far the best free solution and frankly I prefer it over most paid email providers currently.
