Hello all, just recently found this out - and I'm working on taking all the legal info off my pages immediately, and changing the "legalese."

If you have bought, sold, used "WEB LAW GENERATOR" you could be in serious trouble. Please make sure if you have used this software for your sites - that you take the time to revamp your legal pages immediately. If you are currently selling web law generator - please stop immediately. Here are a couple threads for reference as to the problems with Web Law Generator.

Please take notice, and be informed. If you would like to spread this thread around to the other areas of the forum - please do so - I didn't know exactly where else to put the thread - but I think everyone should be aware. Right now I'm busy taking all the legal stuff of my sites, and can't spread the news to other areas of the forum - so would you be so kind to spread the word?

    Thanks everyone!
    Michelle

Apparently the output of web law generator violates someone's copyright.

Edit: After reading the threads, it looks like Bob Silber (a bigtime internet attorney) owns the copyright to any of the forms created by weblawgenerator. And he can sue you if you use it, so your best bet is to remove it pronto and hire a lawyer next time.

    Sorry Tops, and Thanks MTbiker,

Yes, copyright violations - sorry for the lack of info there - I was in a bit of a hurry. :)

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up - if you haven't heard about it already. I was stupid enough to use the program, and use the legal stuff for my site. Guess it's time to get something professionally written up for use on all my sites. As I build more sites, the legal statements will be necessary - and I believe I can get something put together that should cover all the sites.

    Fun Fun!

    Thanks!
    Michelle
